Integrated Support
Having a veterinary social worker as part of the interdisciplinary team at your clinic, shelter, or rescue can make a world of difference for your employees and clients.
Whether it's being a liaison between staff and clients, providing crisis intervention in times of high acuity, or supporting your team through critical incident debriefing, we can offer an array of services to improve outcomes, strengthen relationships, and promote mental health and well-being of both animal professionals and pet owners.
On-site per diem services are available for pet parent and staff support in 2, 4, or 8 hour blocks.
-
Palliative Care and End-of-Life
We are certified by the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care to provide advocacy and support to pet owners during the most difficult part of loving a pet. We provide compassionate facilitation of goals of care discussions and support clients and staff through euthanasia and end of life care.
Each person has their own unique spiritual and cultural values that must be considered and honored during end of life and we are committed to meeting people where they are.
-
Pet Parent & Family Support
Receive support for you and your family as you navigate decision making during your pet’s illness. We work together with per parents and human loved ones to address the many concerns that can arise when an animal’s health is declining. We can help speak to children and teens about their sick pet in an honest and age-appropriate manner. Short-term grief coaching services are available for those in need of a safe space to explore your experience and feelings after loss.
Services can be provided in-person within a clinic or home setting, virtually, or by phone.
Please note: this service is not psychotherapy. However, referrals can be made to therapists for ongoing mental health support.
-
Memory Making
We assist with and provide supplies for clients wishing to create unique keepsake items. We believe in promoting memory making and nurturing continuing bonds between clients and their beloved companions.
Reach out to discuss ideas and how we can work together to honor your best friend.

Resources & Education
Social workers are an incredible resource when it comes to knowing what services are available within communities and how to help people access these services.
We are experts at evaluating and addressing psychosocial concerns of human clients, and extend the same care and advocacy to animal companions. We can help your clients navigate stressors that could be impacting their ability to care for their animals.
We also offer speaking engagements and educational opportunities for a variety of audiences on topics such as grief & bereavement, burnout prevention, mental health and wellness, and the link between human & animal violence.
